The Heritage-20

The Heritage-20 is the little brother to the Heritage-45. It has the same preamp structure and voicing, however it's main difference is in the lower plate voltage and two 6V6 power tubes. Otherwise it has the same tube complement as the Heritage-45. It's output is approximately 20 to 25 watts and it will reach overdrive a bit earlier than the 45 watt model and at a lower volume. It's great for those club gigs and in small venues where volume may be an issue, don't worry, it takes pedals very nicely. Don't let the 20 watt rating fool you though, it is still quite loud. The 6V6 tubes have a unique warmth about them but still have a solid bottom, sweet top end and plenty of punch and articulation. Like the other amps in the lineup it is very touch sensitive and responsive to your playing style. If EL84s aren't your thing and 45 watts seems like too much, this may be the amp for you. As with all the amps in the Great Dane Amplification line, it is well suited for classic rock, blues, country, hard rock and anything else you'd feel inspired to play through it. The front panel consists of Mains Power switch, Standby, pilot light, Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume I and Volume II. There are 4 inputs, one high and one low sensitivity for each channel. The Heritage-20 is available as a head, 1x12 or 2x12. Cabinets are covered in black tolex with gold piping and cane grill cloth. Feel free to email me with any questions and look for sound bytes on the media page soon.

The Heritage-45

The Heritage-45 is inspired from a love of the classic tones of Eric Clapton, Paul Kossof, Jimmy Page, Angus Young and many other such fine and toneful players. This is not a clone or reproduction, but rather an interpretation of several truly classic circuits. The power section is shared with the Heritage-45MV which runs a pair of EL-34s, producing about 45 watts. This time rather than a single input and master volume I decided to utilize the 4 input two channel format. As with some of the original amplifiers of the 60s, each channel has two inputs, one high and one low sensitivity, and a volume control. Each channel shares the standard Bass, Mid and Treble tone stack and Presence control. The inputs can be jumpered to utilize both channels with channel 1 being the bright and channel 2 being the dark voicing. The preamp consists of 3 12AX7 tubes and power is rectified by a single GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube.
Notes ring out sweet and bold with just a touch of sag. Rather than becoming thin and raspy the further up the neck you move each note will retain a depth and fullness without being muddy or mushy. There is plenty of clean headroom, but this is voiced to breakup and saturate a bit earlier than it's ancestors. Smoldering blues tones and screaming leads are at your fingertips. Extremely touch responsive and sensitive to your every playing nuance, this amplifier can go from crunch to clean with just a change of pick attack and pressure. Perfect for blues, classic rock or even hard rock. As with it's cousin the Heritage-45MV, I hand build the circuit board and handwire every component. The Heritage-45 is available as a head, 1x12 or 2x12. Cabinets are covered in black tolex with gold piping and cane grill cloth. Feel free to email me with any questions and look for sound bytes on the media page soon.

The Heritage-45MV

The concept behind this amplifier is simplicity. The Heritage-45 MV is a single input, single channel master volume amp based on some familiar design ideas and a few of my own. Controls include Presence, Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume and Gain. Power output is about 45 watts. There are no FX loops or reverb tanks to muck up the signal chain so the tone you get is pure and simple. Voiced for a bit of that British sound, this amp is perfect for Blues and Rock. It produces beautiful, full cleans and great crunchy overdrive depending on the gain and volume settings. It responds to all of the nuances of your playing style from pick attack to fingering. Play lightly and it can sound clean, dig in and enjoy the crunch. Every guitar plugged into this amp is able to retain its own individual characteristics and subtleties. Each note rings out full with great balance. It is currently available as a head, 1x12 or 2x12 combo. I will have soundbytes available on the media page soon. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

The Heritage-100MV

The Heritage-100MV is the newest in the Great Dane Amplification line. It shares the same preamp design with the Heritage-45MV but the power section is four EL34 power tubes delivering 100 watts. Voltage is rectified by SS silicone diodes for solid power delivery without the sag of tube rectifiers. But don't let that fool you, this amp is still very touch sensitive and responsive to your own playing subtleties. It can range from beautiful, rich clean tones to crunchy drive to full on creamy tube overdrive and is easily controlled with your own fingertips, picking and volume control. It is British voiced for great classic rock and blues tones. Controls are Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume and Gain with a single input and no reverbs or effects loops to interfere with the pure tube tone this amp will deliver. Each guitar is able to retain it's own distinctive characteristics and voice with grace. The amp pictured features custom ordered Ivory tolex and matching pointer knobs. Other colors are available for a small upcharge, the stock color is black. Please feel free to email me with any questions and order information.
